An Introduction from our Tour Leader

April in Paree!  So goes the old song.  The magic of Paris in the spring.  The Luxembourg Gardens, the Tuileries springing into bloom.  The little gardens around the cafés of Montmartre.  The trees along the Champs Elysées coming into leaf.  the Eiffel Tower, dazzlingly illuminated at night, dominating the skyline of this city of dreams.  This and more will soon become  part of the memories of the Year 12 class of 2013, Tumut High School.
Five great cities of Europe: Rome, Florence, Venice, Geneva, Paris.  All the countryside in between, Alps and rolling farmland, lakes, rivers and canals.   The bitter-sweet Anzac visit to Ieper in Belgium, where the horror, courage and sacrifice of past generations mingles with the forming of new friendships by today’s generation of Belgians and Australians.  A store of memories waiting to be formed; an adventure about to begin.
8:30 a.m. Tuesday, 9th April, 2013.  Twenty-one students and four teachers leave Bogong Place for a special visit to the War Memorial in Hyde Park, Sydney, and then to Sydney Airport and the big Emirates A380 bound for Dubai, and on to Rome.   Back to Tumut on the 28th April, somewhat changed people.
Wish us bon voyage!
